Napier Conservatives

Welcome to the new website of the Napier University Conservative & Unionist Association!

Vice Chairman - Press Gallery, Scottish Parliament

The association is in its 3rd successful year since its formation in 1998 under the founding president Colin Beveridge.
The last year alone saw a visit and public meeting with the Party President Sir Malcolm Rifkind QC as well as a
lunch with our Honorary President & Scots Tory leader, David McLetchie MSP.

One of the societies biggest thrills this year was on the campaign trail during the Ayr By Election where John Scott
was elected as the new MSP, in a victory over Labour.

The Association also attended the annual Burns night supper held at Old College and the Winter Ball in London, both of which
were thoroughly and successful (of what we remember[!]) events
. We were also privileged to assist William Hague MP when in
Edinburgh during the "Keep the Pound" rally.

The Association aims to promote politics and Conservative philosophy to students & young people. We work closely with MSP's
reagarding student relevant issues such as the abolition of tuition fees and common sense politics. We encourage people to work
within the Conservative Party and NUCUA members are regularly called upon to do everything, from driving campaign vehicles to
being interviewed for the Sunday Times! Never a dull moment....!

Members and non members, Tories and non Tories are warmly invited to all our events and functions throughout the year so please
feel to contact myself or Fraser Sim at any point.

If you would like to join us, then please complete our online form or contact us directly.

I look forward to meeting you over the coming year and welcoming you to the Association!

Best Wishes,

Neil Freshwater
Vice Chairman
(Chairman 99/00)
